About Bahamas EAST

Bahamas EAST is a curator of island experiences throughout The Islands of The Bahamas.

WELLNESS will focus on travelers’ wellbeing, while exploring The Islands of The Bahamas. We are designed to share information on businesses and providers who make it their mission to offer specialized services and staying on trend with the wants of the modern health-conscious traveler. Nassau/Paradise Island and Grand Bahama have been pioneers in establishing The Bahamas as a world-class wellness destination; it is now time for the Out Islands to be recognized as they grow to accommodate todays market. The movement has begun, but with over 700 Islands and cays in The Bahamas information is often hard to find. This is where we begin.

LUXURY is not a new travel concept, but with time the definition has evolved. The category now focuses more specifically on enjoying experiences, physical and mental health, and concepts of personal fulfillment, along with the traditional ideas of quality, comfort, and elegance. Unique and exclusive experiences and highly personalized services now represent the pinnacle of luxury travel. Our goal is to help educate the discerning adventure traveler to what makes The Bahamas the ideal destination.

ADVENTURE is everywhere! To travel to The Bahamas you must have a spirit for adventure; whether you are taking a puddle jumper to one of the Out Islands or diving with sharks the adventure story starts the moment you arrive. Bahamas EAST will act as the most inclusive guide to The Bahamas: blue holes, shark dives, caving, fishing, nature and history exploration, kite surfing/surfing and islands of iguanas and pigs to name a few.

The combination of these concepts makes Bahamas EAST the first of its kind.

About the founder, Katherine Mullin:

Bahamas EAST is the culmination of a lifetime of experience. Katherine Mullin, founder, was born and raised in New England, but spent nearly 20 years traveling to the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, where her family once owned a seaside hotel, The Cove Eleuthera. She would also travel around the United States, attending trade shows and representing both the hotel and Eleuthera. It was only natural for her to return to work for the Bahamas Out Islands Promotion Board, representing member properties throughout the Out Islands. Through her travels, Katherine experienced the charm and characteristics of each island, which offered her insight when matching first-time visitors to these often-remote destinations. Additionally, for four years she traveled through the islands on private yachts, working as a stewardess and perfecting the art of hospitality, satisfying the highest standards required by the worlds most élite clientele.
